Some Random Thoughts

Some random thoughts as another weekend comes to an end...

- When will Democrats get some intestinal fortitude and stand up to the neo-con nut jobs in the Congress and the media??? I read today that President Obama is going to get personally involved in the health care reform debate. He has no choice since you have so-called Democrats like Baucus and Nelson waivering. Mitch McConnell is saying the President better tread softly. Mitch, wake-up: Americans want change and they want national health care.

- Along these lines, when are we going to stop hearing Dick Cheney and his brat daughter Liz?? If Democrats in the Congress had a set they would be asking for a special counsel to investigate the abuse of power of the Bush Administration and their trampling of the Constitution.

- I wonder why the mainstream media is not really focusing on the hate mongering of the fanatical right?? The recent shooting of Dr. Tiller is a prime example of the ginned up rhetoric of wackos like O'Reilly and Randall Terry and its impact on the simple minded in this country. By the way, have you heard much about the nut job who was planning on killing the President??? Probably not!!!!!

- The circus act taking place in Wheatfield over Tim Demler is really something to behold. The Republicans have created another mess here locally. Unfortunately, the local Democrats are so inept that they probably won't capitalize.

- I had to laugh last week when I read the head of the SEIU at NFMMC praise Don Ruffalo. The same mafioso who destroyed the union's pension program. What a joke!!!!!!

- Read today in the Buffalo News where 2 county legislators are suing the NF Bridge Commission. Sklarski and Cerretto should worry about there responsibilities and stop carrying Senator Maziarz's water bucket. They are both a disgrace to the office they hold.

-Does anybody wonder if Governor Patterson really thinks he can win next year??

-What is Senator Gillibrand's position on single payer health care??? She's been awfully quiet.

- And finally, does anyone really care what politicians donated to the NF Reporter's drive for Community Mission??? The Community Mission does a great job here and we should support this worthwhile organization, but to devote a huge portion of a weekly on who didn't contribute is simply amazing!!!!
